Recent Doctor Visit Update

This blog is going to filled with updates, dramatic events, and funny stories, so prepare yourselves.
First, Momma, little Bailey Boo, and I all went to the doctor a few eeks back. Bailey was so good! When Dr. E came in, he said, "Well Kelli your about to pop right?" I said no way! I still have 8 weeks. He confusingly looked at my chart and then got out his tape measure. Once he had finished, he looked at my chart again and then looked at me. He said, "Well Kelli, I hope you are prepared to deliver a nine pound baby because you are about 5 cm above the average for where you should be." i just starred at him. How on Earth can you be "prepared" to deliver a nine pound baby? He said that Tuck has been using his arms and legs to stretch every ligament in my belly to give himself some more room. And he is still doing it! He gets more and more like his Papa every day.
Then, Dr. E got out the microphone thing to listen tot he heartbeat. As soon as he found it, Bailey perked up and said' "Tucker??" It was the cutest thing. I wish that I would have had the camera ready because the look on her face was so adorable! Momma explained to her that it was Tuck and that it was his heartbeat just like she has a heartbeat. I almost teared up because it was so amazing to see something like that through her eyes.
We had a great time at Amber and Ryan's wedding. Tuck decided to start kicking as soon as it was my turn to walk down the aisle. What timing this kid has. It is so hard to keep a big smile on your face when you are being karate kicked in the ribs. Everything went great though and we had a wonderful night with the bride and groom.
Finally, Tuck has started to drop, so the bump has moved from right under my chest to on top of my lower belly. This fact, as you can imagine, has hindered my ability to bend over. I didn't really realize this until recently, however. I was getting ready for school one morning when I decided that I was going to put on my socks. You would think that this would be an easy task, but let me assure you, it wasn't. I spent 8 minutes almost in tears trying to put on my socks. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall during this ordeal. I just knew that I was about to be late for school and got even more upset. Can you imagine calling your principal and explaining to him that you cant come to school today because you are having difficulties getting dressed? But I prevailed in the end and made it to school on time. Its funny to think about now, but there was no humor involved during this "situation". I'm sure it will only get worse too!
Well that's all for now. I will post again after my doctor's appointment this coming Tuesday!

Introducing... TUCKER BOYD HURDLE

Here is a preview of our sweet baby boy! Getting these pictures was such an ordeal! We went to First Impressions last week to have the 4D Ultrasound, but Tuck did not want to cooperate! He was being stubborn like his Papa, not like me of course, and would not turn around so that we could see his cute face. So the technician allowed us to reschedule for yesterday. Fellow parents and pregnant people told me to eat lots of sugar and drink a big sugary soda on my way to the next appointment. So I stopped at Sonic for a delicious Route 44 Cherry Dr. Pepper, my favorite. As I am driving and Tuck and I are dancing to our favorite tunes, I go to pick up my cup and what happens...it breaks in half! I had sticky Cherry Dr. Pepper all over me and my car! What a mess! So picture this...your driving along and you see a car pulled over on the side of the road. You look as you drive by and see a HUGE pregnant lady beating her car mat on the side of the road with Sonic ice flying everywhere. I can only imagine what I must have looked like. I finally arrived at the office and we got started. Tuck was still not cooperating, so I got up and walked around for a bit. We tried one last time and there he was!! Staring at me as if I could reach out and touch him! I was speechless...which you know doesn't happen often. It was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. We cant wait to meet him even more now that we got a little show. Bubba and I are so pumped and cant believe that he will be here in such a short time! So even though it was a dramatic ordeal, it was so worth it!

Tucker's Room

So finally I have posted some pictures of the kid's room! It turned out amazing!! Momma spent an entire day taping, painting, painting, and even more painting! The final product looks great thanks to every one's hard work. I was mainly a spectator during this process, but you know I threw my opinion in whenever I could. HAHA! The nursery is not yet complete, but we are getting there. The floors are finished, the painting is almost finished, and the crib is together. Putting the dresser/changing table/hutch together has been a challenge, but it's slowly coming together too. I am so ready for it to be done. This has been a major point of stress for me, so you know it has been for poor Bubba too. I think I bug him about it at least twice a day. He is starting to feel the pressure too though. The days are quickly passing and Tuck's arrival is getting closer and closer!

Baby Bump

I wanted to post a picture that shows my belly bump! I am one of those crazy pregnant women that started showing at 3 months and I haven't stopped growing yet! I get bigger everyday...well at least I think that I do.
Baby Hurdle still doesn't have a name, but we are working hard to get him one. Bubba and I have been combing the Internet and every baby name book imaginable looking for the perfect fit. I will let you know as soon as we find one that suits our little man.
We are also diligently working on the nursery. We would love to do a dinosaur theme, but are having so much trouble finding things to match! Momma is already picking out colors and getting things ready to install a chair rail (she has become so handy these days), so I guess we have made some progress. I will post pics along the way so that you can see the progress, once there is some!
Well that's all for now!

It's a BOY!

Bubba, momma, and I went to the doctor on Wednesday to find out the sex of baby Hurdle. We were all so excited to see that tiny baby Hurdle is a boy! At this point, he is 1 pound 7 ounces. I didn't believe the nurse when she told me that because when he kicks so hard! She said the he looked good and that he is one of the more active babies she has seen. No wonder I haven't been sleeping well. She also said that my measurements show me at 23 week, not 21. My doctor told me that he would check everything and let me know at my next appointment. So my original due date, May 15, might be changing soon. I will let everyone know as soon as I find out myself.

I am glad that our dream of having a little boy is coming true. I can't wait to meet our son. it sounds so funny saying that, but I am so excited! Momma cried of course and about jumped through the roof when we had confirmation of the sex. Bubba thought that the ultrasound was one of the neatest things he had ever seen. He would say, "Look at him moving around babe. This is so cool. There he goes again!" It was so cute. For me, it caused a whole new set of feelings about being pregnant. It brought everything that has been happening to me into reality. It all seems so real now and I love being able to say he or my son. I am already a proud mom and have been showing my pictures to everyone.

Baby Hurdle

Well I realize that I am a little late at doing this, but I thought better late than never. Bubba and I are so excited to announce that we are expecting our first child in May. Things are working out perfectly with school, so hopefully I wont have to miss too much. We find out the baby's sex on January 6th so make sure to check out the blog to hear the results!
