This blog is going to filled with updates, dramatic events, and funny stories, so prepare yourselves.
First, Momma, little Bailey Boo, and I all went to the doctor a few eeks back. Bailey was so good! When Dr. E came in, he said, "Well Kelli your about to pop right?" I said no way! I still have 8 weeks. He confusingly looked at my chart and then got out his tape measure. Once he had finished, he looked at my chart again and then looked at me. He said, "Well Kelli, I hope you are prepared to deliver a nine pound baby because you are about 5 cm above the average for where you should be." i just starred at him. How on Earth can you be "prepared" to deliver a nine pound baby? He said that Tuck has been using his arms and legs to stretch every ligament in my belly to give himself some more room. And he is still doing it! He gets more and more like his Papa every day.
Then, Dr. E got out the microphone thing to listen tot he heartbeat. As soon as he found it, Bailey perked up and said' "Tucker??" It was the cutest thing. I wish that I would have had the camera ready because the look on her face was so adorable! Momma explained to her that it was Tuck and that it was his heartbeat just like she has a heartbeat. I almost teared up because it was so amazing to see something like that through her eyes.
We had a great time at Amber and Ryan's wedding. Tuck decided to start kicking as soon as it was my turn to walk down the aisle. What timing this kid has. It is so hard to keep a big smile on your face when you are being karate kicked in the ribs. Everything went great though and we had a wonderful night with the bride and groom.
Finally, Tuck has started to drop, so the bump has moved from right under my chest to on top of my lower belly. This fact, as you can imagine, has hindered my ability to bend over. I didn't really realize this until recently, however. I was getting ready for school one morning when I decided that I was going to put on my socks. You would think that this would be an easy task, but let me assure you, it wasn't. I spent 8 minutes almost in tears trying to put on my socks. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall during this ordeal. I just knew that I was about to be late for school and got even more upset. Can you imagine calling your principal and explaining to him that you cant come to school today because you are having difficulties getting dressed? But I prevailed in the end and made it to school on time. Its funny to think about now, but there was no humor involved during this "situation". I'm sure it will only get worse too!
Well that's all for now. I will post again after my doctor's appointment this coming Tuesday!
